Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I hate to do this, but I can only give a 2 star. The surgery was fast, and the Dr. did a good job. Jennifer at the front was SUPER KIND and really great. The 2 star is because this guy is totally inappropriate. I sat with my 17 year old daughter while he made strange remarks about Fentanyl being a great drug-- and that people who die from it are not from OD'ing but because they fall asleep and choke to death. Not terrible, but-- weird in front of my kid. Enough for us to exchange an open-mouth OMG look. Then, he mentioned a picture of a patient that "had a good picture-- not the kind you go home and jack off to, but a good surgery". I kid you not. My daughter and I were totally just- in shock someone would say that. Also, the entire conversation was just...uncomfortable and awkward. I had to wait there for an hour until she was done and YES, there are dogs there. Not in the same room, but still-- KEEP YOUR ANIMALS AT HOME-- you're a surgeon!!! Gross. I'm positive that there are others in this town that can pull teeth. I do not recommend this office-- other than the fact that the others working there were beyond friendly (and appropriate!)

If anyone is into feeling humiliated, judged and looked down upon, I would definitely recommend this office for that. Charlene (who must be an assistant) took it upon herself to take my sons personal information from his paperwork and make derogatory, judgmental and discriminatory remarks OUT LOUD. I heard it as we were sitting in the waiting room and so did the other patients that were there. We were embarrassed and humiliated. I went up to confront her. She did not apologize or show any compassion at all. She was arrogant and prejudiced towards us. If this surgery was not an emergency for my son then I would have left and never gone back. I had to swallow my pride and still allow this practice to remove my sons wisdom teeth. Mary Louise and another front desk lady were very kind and apologetic to us which I was thankful for. Those 2 women really saved the day. Dr. Ruckert was ok, he gave a half hearted apology but showed little feeling or remorse for the way his employee had acted. There is a bad feeling in this office. I felt it right away when I called to make an appointment. The lady (i believe it was also Charlene) was rude to me on the phone and made disparaging comments. It

Professional and he knows what he doing. I got my teeth out this year and I was worried about side effects. I ended up not even getting a really swollen mouth with the advice he gave me. I had a wisdom teeth extraction all 4 impacted. I’m a big NYC fan so going here made me scared but I felt confident at the office. He also sent me a letter of what I should do before hand so I felt prepared and informed

I was very nervous to have a tooth extracted today. From setting the appointment which was very easy and friendly. Dr. Edwards made me feel comfortable and told me after noviacane what was next. It took less than two minutes. Gave me a brochure of things to do after and his cell. I was nervous to some not good reviews! I wanted to write a review because it was a very pleasant and pain free visit!

My rating would be 3.5 if that were an option. I went in to OMA to have a wisdom tooth removed after being unable to get appointments in my insurance network (I would have had to wait three months or more), while being told by my dentist that immediate removal was required, due to infection and splitting. I was able to make a same day appointment, which given my level of pain, was welcome. Unfortunately, I had to pay out of pocket ($436 for the extraction with no sedation), yet the receptionist/oral surgery assistant gave ME a hard time about this, as though I had any options. Perhaps she wasn't having a good day. Who knows. Dr. Ruckert himself was convivial, but had a dry humor that might feel a bit unwelcome to some patients. I concur with the view of another reviewer, Brian V, that Ruckert's chair-side manor left something to be desired. He was very curt and breezily dismissive about my reservations regarding the upcoming procedure. He gave no meaningful information about the removal procedure, and waived away my statements about being very sensitive to pain. This was my first surgical procedure of any kind, and despite knowing this, neither he nor his assistant made any gestur
